Kouloumpos beach

The name is from the samename underwater volcano Kouloumpos, northen island. The beach is only 3km away from Bonora, great, rocky landscape sandy beach after 5min walk from main road. Very turbulent when it's north windy. It's also appropriate for  nudists. Bring your own water and supplies.

Baxedes beach

A quiet beach only 1.5 km away from Bonora with black volcanic sand and small pebbles. One of Oia's most popular spots, particularly with families, thanks to its shallow waters. Its also preferred by surfers when the winds are northerly There is a parking place by the beach and umbrelas if you wish to rent. Nearby, there are quite smaller and empty beaches.

Katharos beach
& bar

One of the most virgin and rocky landscape, sandy beach in the island. The beach is  4km away from Bonora, on the way downcliff of Oia. There is a bar-restaurant uphill in which you can delight Thirasia island opposite and the sunset. Beautiful rock shapes. Parking place available.

Magnificent Oia sunset & spots of interest

While vacationing in Santorini, don’t forget to enjoy the stunning sunset views from Oia's narrow streets. You 'll be surprised with how many wonderful viewpoints and light  there are. We recommend strolling through the charming streets, and visiting the Oia Castle and the Maritime Museum, where you can admire the fine artefacts that outline the nautical tradition of Santorini

Walking trail around caldera

Just 300 m. from Bonora, there is a walking trail to Fira. It's an alternative way to cross the caldera and have stunning views. Beautiful  land formations churches and pure santorinian nature combined excellend with workout. Fira is almost 3,30 hour away.

Amoudi picturesque port & fish taverns

In a cove, at the foot of the cliff  is located, lies the picturesque pebble and rocky beach of Ammoudi, with its quaint fish taverns and excellent swimming spot at the island of aghios Nikolas. Situated close to Ammoudi is another beautiful cove called Armeni, which is known for its small port and lovely pebble beach 

Local visitable wineries

Close to Bonora (1km), on the way to Baxedes, located Sigalas local winery where you can taste and buy several kind of winebottles and raki. There are 14 wineries on the island, the most famous of which are Gavalas (Megalohori), Koutsogianopoulos(Kamari) but you can easily find them from the well_marked roadnetwork called "wine roads"

Krinaki traditional tavern

Close to us, on Finikia's traditional settlement, is located Krinaki restaurant, which serves many dishes of  santorinian cousine. You can enjoy your food, in great atmosphere, by stunning views of the village and Aegean sea.

Pori beach

A small, secluded beach with dark sand and red rocky background located further along the coast to the south of Kouloumbo. The locals love it because it's quiet and undisturbed.  There are also a couple of nice fish taverns and more recently a small fishing harbor.

Island excursions and cruises

There are many island excursions and cruises which organized every day. They can sail you on nearest islands and outlandish beaches of Santorini as well as to the Red and White beach.

Vlihada beach 
and bar

Easy to reach, the beach is about 18km away from Bonora. Located in the southern part of the island, offers stunning views of Aegean and a marsland landscape backround. There is also a small cave-bar beside the old tomato factory of the area, which now function as Santorin Arts Factory 

Red, black & white beaches

The black sandy coastline, which extends eastern of Santorini, is also a popular place for sunbathers, avid swimmers and water sports enthusiasts. These black sands are located in the coastal settlements of Perissa, Kamari and Perivolos. The Red Beach and the White Beach near Akrotiri, are also wonderful and offer a stunning Aegean Sea view.

Volcano tour

The small, volcanic islands of Thirassia, Nea and Palea Kammeni, located off the western shore of the island, where you can swim in the thermal baths of the Caldera. From Ammoudi, a traditional boat departs for Thirassia Island, three times a day. You can visit Nea and Palea Kammeni from Athinios port.

Nightlife & Market places

There are several market places all over the island. Especially in Fira you can find all kind of shops and supermarkets as well as many bars and nightlife spots till early morning hours.

Traditional churches

An abundance of lovely churches are located in Oia (Aghia Ekaterini, Panagia Platsani, Agios Spyridonas, Anastasi, Agios Sostis), as well as in other areas, including the Ippapantis (Fira), the Panagias (Emporeio), the Agios Georgios (Imerovigli), the Eisodon (Megalochori), the Theotokaki (Pyrgos), and Panagias of  Katefianis in Perissa.

Traditional settlements and architecture

Except Finikia, there are other traditional settlements on the island. These are Megalohori, Emporio, Pyrgos and Akrotiri. You can admire there many remarkable buildings from 1800 AD and the Venetian period, some are still in very good condition. In most areas there are small towers on the hilltop and old mills.

Museums & archeological sites

Akrotiri is an extremely well-preserved ancient site, with houses, storage rooms, a very sophisticated ancient sewage system, staircases, and roads, all of which are in magnificent condition. The entire settlement was covered in lava when the eruption of the volcano took place in the 17th century B.C. You can also visit the Archaeological, and the Museum of  Pre-Historic Thira.

Art galleries & ceramic workshops

In Fira, the capital of Santorini located the Gizi Manor, which houses a wonderful collection of historical documents, paintings and engravings. Exiting Fira to port there are art galleries as well as in Oia. In the way to Vlihada there are many ceramic workshops. Don't forget to visit santorini arts factory in Vlihada.
